China has made tremendous development achievements since the reform and opening-up. With the establishment of socialist market economic, China Building Materials Industries Association (CBMIA) has developed rapidly as a bridge between its members and the government.

Governed by the Ministry of Civil Affairs and State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, CBMIA is a nation-wide confederation that represents companies, organization and individuals in building materials industries.

The major tasks of CBMIA include: to provide services to members in accordance with the Articles of Association, to protect members' legalrights and interests, to ensure market fair competition with self-discipline mechanism,to develop advanced productive forces characterized with technological
 
advances and industry structural optimization, to promote international exchange and cooperation, and to provide assistance to the government for healthy development of the industries.
